Introductory drafts based on current game materials, awaiting the developer’s review.
Begin with the commander
Read the commander’s attributes, innate trait, current HP and equipment. Think about the job this army should perform. Website base attributes are a reference; your decision should also use the officer’s current in-game state.
Inspect the composition
The preparation screen shows troop types and the arrangement of subunits. Check available types, composition conditions and the interface explanations. Total troop count is only part of the information you need.

Read the formation
Consider a formation’s description and arrangement alongside the way you intend to fight. When learning, change a few things at a time while keeping the commander and army similar. It will be easier to understand the difference.
Picture the battlefield
Open ground, water, woodland and fortified positions produce different encounters. Study the planned route before choosing your composition. Subtitles and values from older recordings are not a specification of the current rules.
Before you march
Review the commander, equipment requirements, troop types, subunits, formation and supplies. Then continue to Terrain and battle.
