Managing a city

Plan your resources and your people together.

Review draft

Introductory drafts based on current game materials, awaiting the developer’s review.

Read the city information

A city supports both administration and military preparation. Look at gold, food, agriculture, industry, population and rule. Before improving a single value, ask what your faction currently needs most.

Give people a purpose

Officers have several attributes and different innate traits. Before sending every famous general to the front, consider who will remain to manage the city. Read an action’s explanation and compare the city before and after carrying it out.

Connect administration to your campaign

Make a habit of checking supplies and troop strength before marching. Consider the city’s condition after the army leaves as well. Study neighbouring cities and factions, then distinguish your long-term ambition from what you can accomplish this turn.

A beginner’s checklist

  • What is the state of the city’s gold and food?
  • What roles suit the officers available to you?
  • Is it time to fight, or time to prepare?

This introductory draft does not disclose hidden appearance conditions or internal income formulas. Consult the current in-game descriptions for the effects of individual commands.
